  AIRBUS KC-30A: The RAAF operates five KC-30A aircraft which are a heavily modified A330 airliner used for air-to-air refuelling and strategic transport.

The aircraft has two forms of air-to-air refuelling – Aerial Refuelling Boom System under the tail, and a refuelling pod underneath each wing.

The KC-30A carries more than 100 tonnes of fuel, and can remain 1800km from its home base with 50 tonnes available to offload for up to four hours. In transport mode, the KC-30A carries 270 passengers and 34,000kgs of cargo.

The KC-30As are operated by No 33 Squadron located at RAAF Base Amberley.
