These flights had been temporarily suspended due to Western countries closing their airspace to Russia following the invasion of Ukraine. According to a statement released by Rossiya Airlines, the first flight connecting Moscow and Varadero, the magnificent resort destination on the island of freedom, has taken off from Sheremetyevo Airport. This marks the beginning of regular flights between Russia and Cuba.
